Descrizione
The present contribution offers the edition of the bull Ite vos by Leo X (1517) in Tuscan volgare, preserved in a manuscript from the convent of San Salvatore in Ognissanti of Florence and now at the Central National Library of the same city. The present vernacular version was composed in the context of the circulation of decisions regarding Observants and Conventuals within the Tuscan Province of Observants around 1520, a literary mediation deemed necessary by the authorities of the Order, as displayed by other contemporary translations of the same juridical text (Orazio Diola, frei Marcos de Lisboa, Diego Navarro, Filippo de Sosa).
